Gaurav Sharma. PhD
Gaurav holds a PhD in Intellectual Property Management from Symbiosis International University, Pune and a Masters in Innovation, Technology and the Law from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is currently a member of CII’s Cyber Security Task Force as well as a member of the National Committee on IT/ITeS. Gaurav has over a decade and half experience in the legal field and looks after all areas of the firms’ legal services. His expertise in privacy and data protection includes consulting on issues related to European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and advising companies on its various compliances.
Gaurav also serves as the mentor at Gender LegaL, Pune and with them has conducted numerous programmes/workshops on preventing sexual harassment at the workplace. He has written various papers on a range of topics, including intellectual property and human rights, artificial intelligence in the armed forces, emerging AI based cyber threats and data as a commodity among others.
Gaurav is a visiting faculty at Symbiosis Law School, Pune and gives lectures at various other institutes, while also conducting training programmes and workshops for corporates in different areas of law.
